The Aviators have Signed Their 1st Head Coach
Rollo Adams has agreed to lead the Atwater Aviators of Merced County in their
inaugural season. Coach Adams has been the running the Merced Volunteers an
American Legion program since 1994. He has won the State Title 3 times 2005,
2007 & 2008. His American Legion Record is 401-224-1. Please join me in
congratulating Coach Adams and wishing him good luck on our upcoming season!

Atwater Parks & Recreation Department says yes to the Aviators
After working with Atwater's Parks & Rec. Department for over a year the
Aviators were given permission to rent out Fireman's Memorial Ballpark for the
Summer of 2009. With the understanding that we will be working around the
youth organizations who already use the field, to create as little impact as
possible to those organizations. The Aviators are renting out the field on a trial
basis, with the community support and acceptance a big factor on whether or not
we will be allowed to return in 2010. SO COME OUT AND ENJOY AFFORDABLE
FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT AT THE BALLPARK. THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR
EVERYONE!

Anthony Potter has agreed to play for the Atwater Aviators this summer. Anthony
is a freshman at Columbia University in New York and will be starting for the
Columbia Lions this year. Some of his Highlights inlude:

- 1st team all Liberty Conference - 2008
- 2nd team all Liberty Conference - 2007
- Played 3 summers with the Syracuse Chiefs - Ranked 31st in the Nation
The Aviators have Signed Kory Vitato 02/22/09
Kory Vitato has agreed to play for the Atwater Aviators this
summer. Kory is a Sophomore at Merced College right here in
town and is starting for the Merced Blue Devils this year. Kory
is also the 1st of many talented local players to sign with the
Aviators. He is already off to a great start batting .273, 3HR &
11RBI's in just 14 games. Join me in congratulating him and
wishing him luck the rest of his season.

Nick Morreale has agreed to play for the Atwater Aviators this
summer. Nick is a Junior at Northern Illinois University. Coach
Mathey on Morreale: "Nick is a kid with Illinois roots who was an
all-state player and drafted after his senior season. He was a
catcher coming out of high school, but could play either corner
infield position or the outfield. We think his bat will be a great fit
into the lineup and being a junior college player, we are looking
for him to come in and contribute quickly."

Cameron Edman has signed his contract and agreed to play for the Aviators this
summer. Cameron is a Junior at Gonzaga Universityand is looking forward to joining
Atwater's opening season. He can play any infield position and his versatility will
come in handy through out the season. Last season as a Sophmore at Treasure
Valley Community College in Montana he hit .384avg 10HR & 59RBI's. Welcome to
the Aviators Cameron....

Join Richard Ruiz the Owner of the Atwater Aviators this Saturday (April 4th) at the
Opening Ceremonies for the Atwater Youth Baseball League. Mr. Ruiz will be selling
season tickets and will donate 50% of the sales from that day to the Youth League.
Come out and Support Atwater's New Minor League-Style Baseball Team and The
Atwater Youth League!!!!See you out there!
